Miss Bladenboro. Tera Nichole Richardson is a lifelong resident of Bladenboro. She is the daughter of Terry Richardson and Anita Hester. Tera is a 2011 graduate of WBHS. She served as the first ever Miss West Bladen and she also received the Miss Congeniality award which was voted on by her fellow pageant contestants. She has received numerous academic and community service awards for her hard work and dedication to the student body, the Bladen County tornado victims, and nursing home residents. Tera is a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where she teaches Vacation Bible School and is active in her youth group. She is a freshman at BCC where she plans to transfer to UNCP and pursue a degree in teaching. We are very honored to have Tera serving as the 2011-2012 Queen of the new Miss Bladenboro Scholarship Pageant.
Princess of Bladenboro. Summer Lynn Cain is a Bladen County girl born and raised! She is the fifteen year old daughter of Christopher and Heather Cain. Summer is a sophomore at East Bladen High School. She won her first bgeauty pageant at the age of one and has obtained several beauty titles since then, including Teen Miss Bladen County 4th of July, and the first ever Teen Miss Bladen County Heart of Giving. Summer has a perfect 4.0 GPA, is in all honors classes and will be inducted into the Beta Club this month for her academic excellene. She is a proud member of Lisbon Baptist Church where she is actively involved in her youth group and the church choir. During her free time Summer enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Junior Miss Bladenboro. Melissa Catherine Britt, also known as “Lil Caty” is a lifelong resident of Robeson County but she has family roots from right here in Bladenboro. Melissa has won numerous beauty titles and has served on the state level for the Miss North Carolina Organization as a Carolina Princess. She loves competing in pageants, but her passion is being actively involved in the community with such events as Relay for Life, March of Dimes, and the Children’s Miracle Network. Melissa has also achieved great academic success in school. She has recently been inducted into the Junior Beta Club at Littlefield Middle School. Melissa is looking forward to serving the community as Junior Miss Bladenboro.
Little Miss Bladenboro. Natalee Kay Britt is the six year old daughter of Erica Britt and Corey Cox. She is in first grade at Rowland Norment Elementary School. Naty has held several beauty titles and has been very heavily involved in community service for the past three years. She has visited shut-In’s at nursing homes, and has helped with Senior Bingo. She has participated and raised money for Relay for Life and March for Babies.
Tiny Miss Bladenboro. Millie Marinnan Lennon is the daughter of Toby and Misty Lennon from right here in Bladenboro. She is in kindergarten at Columbus Charter School. Millie is actively involved at New Light Pentecoastal Freewill Baptist Church where she loves attending “The Anchor” children’s church. She loves visiting the hospital and hopes to become a doctor one day. She ahs a passion for fashion, especially shoes. Her favorite role in life is being a big sister to her little brother Ayven.
Wee Baby Miss Bladenboro. Rylee Sealey is the twenty three month old daughter of Erica Britt and Robbie Sealey. She wants everyone to know that no matter how old you are, you can still make a difference by getting involved in your community. Even at her age, she has been involved in Relay for Life, visiting the elderly, and Senior Bingo at nursing homes. Rylee hopes to continue her community service as the 2011-2012 Wee Baby Miss Bladenboro and share her energy, smile, and love with others.
