Beast of Bladenboro

Have you heard the news?
The Beast of Bladenboro is on the loose.
BEAST OF BLADENBORO, what is that?
Some say a wild dog
Others say a large, wild cat.
It has great big eyes
Small pointed ears
Shrill human cries
You don’t want to hear!
Women and children stay inside
Even your pets will want to hide.
Men with guns come from everywhere
That beast is slick, he doesn’t care.
He is making news, that awful beast
Stalking people and on animals he feasts.
No one is safe with that beast around,
All of his crying and scratching the ground.
He’s not from around here
We all know that,
But we’re enjoying the excitement
Of that large, wild cat.
We may be a small town
In North Carolina’s southeast
But everyone knows now
BLADENBORO HAS A BEAST!
